ESPN Deportes 1180

It would be great if they obtain the Spanish broadcasting rights for the Dynamo. They even have the right set of calls in place. "ESPN Deportes 1180 K-GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!" The nighttime signal isn't going to do ESPN any favors outside of Humble. Personally, I hate to see the music go, but such is the life of a brokered radio station.

I heard it for the first time Sunday afternoon...I wonder if it's a JSA, TBA or if ABC Radio/ESPN will eventually try to buy it as a O&O in Houston. And I agree..although the jazz was interesting to listen to, this seems to make a lot more sense for it.

I liked the jazz too but driving next to Houston's increasingly power lined streets kills even the 50 kW daytime signal, making MW unattractive for listeners.  Too many people listen to FM to notice the effect of the power lines that line up the street.  Imagine DXing in your apartment, but like most complexes, it's along a major thoroughfare lined with power lines. Horrible!!

They already own 1590, I don't think that they're anywhere near any kind of cap (even though they also own channel 13). So another AM is a possibility.
