ESPN drops San Diego

Network sources: ESPN Radio will drop programming on 98.9 FM on Tuesday, Aug. 31. MEC was not available for comment. MEC has not paid for their U.S. staff for several months.

ESPN will not be on Clear Channel; the company has aligned themselves with FOX Sports.

Blazin 98.9 was a better sounding station. Z90 sounds to stale and boring IMO...

ESPN forced CC in Cincy to drop Fox Sports on 50,000 watt WCKY so not to lose ESPN in their cluster. Fox Sports was moved to the lesser station that ESPN previously occupied.
