ESPN on 103.7?

I just heard a promo on WEEI-FM saying "southern new england's new home of ESPN radio." Does this mean that 1450 and 1340 have dropped it? I'm not in range of either signal right now to see what they're running.

this is grrreeaat because now i can hear espn radio on my way to work on weekends at 4am and not have a double dose of ben maller

If this is true I can't believe the way the network keeps bouncing from station to station from 790/99.7 to 1450/1340 and now 103.7? Here in Hartford ESPN Radio has been on WPOP 1410 since 1998 one year after the station flipped to sports. They first were affiliated with One on One Sports. Until 96 ESPN Radio was on NEWS-SPORTS 910 CNN. That's when ESPN didn't have much to offer other than The Fabulous Sports Babe. 910 was sold in December 96 and went Spanish AC. Then Urban in March 97. And Tropical in May 01.

If 103.7 does carry ESPN Radio in the overnight hours, and some weekend blocks, as mother-ship 850 WEEI does......I wonder what Hall will end up doing with 1450/1340?

BostonRadioWatch said Entercom is switching the overnight/weekend programming from Fox Sports to
ESPN on 105.5 in Springfield MA area, 103.7 Westerly, and 1440 Worcester. They don't own 96.3 on
the Cape so no switch there.

ESPN site lists some other affiliates in Springfield (WHLL), Gardner (WGAW), New Bedford (WNBH),
and Prov (WLKW). I don't know if 'LKW or 'HLL will continue to run ESPN or not

WEEI-FM's signal is a plus comp to 1340/1450 I'd guess. In addition to overnight and weekend shows
you could also get NBA basketball, some MLB games (Sun nights?), MLB all star game, MLB playoffs etc
