ESPN Radio 1230/1320

With 97.5 flipping to ESPN radio on Monday, I wonder how that will effect 1230 and 1320. You can pickup 97.5 anywhere in the valley better than 1230 and 1320. Thoughts ????

Probably no impact. I expect a local morning show on 97.5 and the local shows currently on the air. ESPN used late nights and weekends on 97.5.

So, Mike & Mike, The Herd, Scott Van Pelt will all probably have an exclusive home in the Valley on 1230/1320.

I think 950 will be full time ESPN 24/7. minus some play by play.

But, question the relevancy of 1470 as a sports station.

CC should sell it to Jolly Joe.

Where I live in the Easton area, 97.5 comes in great at home, but in the car, the signal is noisy. Listenable to be sure, but since they are running in stereo and not mono, you can tell the signal is coming in from a distance.

The Happy Hour, an excellent sports show, does get calls from ESPN Philly sports jocks. It was no surprise to 1230, I assume, that 97.5 was flipping to ESPN. I hope it doesn't hurt them, since right now there are times when ESPN programs overlap.

But this FM sports talk has me wondering how great it would be to get AM talk on an FM signal.

How great that would be, to listen to WAEB 790 on FM where the signal is horribly poor at night in the eastern end of the Valley.
