The 104 the X simulcast goes by the wayside sometime this month, as Guaranty brings back ESPN Radio (previously heard on WIBR-AM, and before that WSKR-AM) on 104.5 FM, while 104.9 presumably remains new rockin' as the X.
Couple of thoughts:
- Surprised Citadel isn't bringing this back, but then, where would they put it?
- Wouldn't be surprised to see at least one local daily show, since Guaranty seems willing to spend money.
- Another big help for this go-around of sportstalk in the BR - actual live play by play, because of LSU. Does 104.5 get everything but football?
And as an aside, let me say I'm impressed Guaranty has stuck with alternative/new rock for so long. It's been almost 10 years, hasn't it?
