Espn radio overnight

Probably not, it will just be ESPN SportsCenter all night every night. Is Jimmy V still on??

You mean Bobby V., Jim's brother. He's still on overnights AFAIK. Jim Valvano died in 1993.

Bob Valvano is on midnight to 2 am ET Saturday and Sunday.

Bring back Todd Wright All Night!!

Wonder if the relationship is still cordial or if bridges were burned by either party when his contract wasn't renewed.

They move him around too much. Back when they had personalities during the overnight hours they ran Bobby V weekend overnights and Jason Smith weekday overnights. Then they cut back Bobby V to one overnight a week at different times and days and replayed some of their Friday night stuff in the satuday early hours.

I'm surprised they've gone this long with the "SC All Night" stuff. A couple years ago they were moving toward a 24/7 personality driven network, that's when they added an evening/west coast afternoon drive show rather than air Gamenight 7 nights a week.

"ESPN SportsCenter All Night" is on for one hour (1am Eastern Time) and repeats the rest of the night (BORING!!!)
What happened to Chuck Wilson? They should at least put him on weekday overnights, and put (Bobby V back on weekend overnights, even if it's 1am-5am, or 1am-4am, put someone on (LIVE) on overnights and have more listener interaction weather it's by Phone or Text.
For a famous Sports Talk Radio Network, they have to do better.
I can see playing Repeat Shows (early Saturday and Sunday mornings 4am-7am, or 5am-7am) But have (LIVE) shows on the rest of the day and night (besides LIVE games).

I agree like last night when the heat beat the spurs would've been a great night for live all night programming I'd even put espn radio podcast Saturday and Sunday night just give us live broadcast the rest of the week. Does anybody else like the sporting life that airs Friday night and Saturday morning wish it would air more often I'd even move Steven a smith to over night on espn radio.

wishful thinking re: ESPN radio late night.

chuck wilson has been gone for months now. 8(

it's a joke nowadays in bristol. with mike hill now gone to fox and schlereth off the marquee for now there doesn't seem to be much of middle ground anymore. it's like the rest of the USA now. high end and low end. either top talent pushed to almost jokingly horrible levels or repeated boring recaps shows.

who knows what the rest of 2013 into 2014 is going to be like on ESPN late night. maybe just have live ad reads with ESPN cleared highlight segments chopped up with some kind of sponsored bogus fan feedback segment that is never aired.

really really sad that a giant like ESPN has fallen so far in terms of radio. no wonder they had layoffs earlier this year.

Yes, I also like "Sporting Life" I can see them putting that on ?? Saturday & Sundays 5am-7am and Friday nights ? Midnight-1am
Other than that, they do need to do something with their programming.
The way they are going now, I don't think they will last next year

True, Sports Radio fans have more outlets to go to now meaning the dominant network, ESPN, will have a smaller audience.

The new networks may bring in some new listeners, but I doubt it'll be very many.

For what it is worth, Damon Amendolara's show on CBS is a good fit in my home market, where KDKA-93.9 runs him from 2-5:40 a.m. He sounds intelligent, has good guests, treats the callers decently and is quite comfortable on the ears. ESPN and Fox both are available here, ESPN on WBGG-970 and Fox on WWCS-540.

I think CBS Sports Radio has a very good lineup, with the exception of Scott Ferrall.

I'm just not a fan of his approach. FSR overnights fails to capture my interest. Amy Van Dyken may have been a great athlete, but she is not well versed in pro sports. Dibble is just all right. I do enjoy the BTN show they air around midnights on Fridays during college football season.

I like ESPN and think they are the best, but CBS comes close.

ESPN and Fox/CC picked a really bad time to start making demands on show and spot clearances the last couple of years. Soured relationships right as quality alternatives became available.
