ESPN Radio - Stephen A. Smith

I caught a part of Thursday's Stephen A. Smith's show on ESPN Radio - he said it was his last day - that he was going to be doing more TV and ESPN the Magazine stuff now, and that he wouldn't be doing the show anymore.

Which raises the question - is Mike Tirico's show going to 3 hours now? Or is someone else going to replace him for that hour?

I would guess either Tirico's show goes 3 hours, or Erik Kuselias gets back on a daily radio show

Is Stephen A still going to be locally on 1050? They tried him on TV more and it didn't work (remember Quite Frankly?)

Nope, "Screamin' A" is out of radio altogether. He will sign a new one-year deal with ESPN that will keep him within the boundaries of the role of NBA analyst.

I thought the Stephen A Smith show was horrible! That guy just needs to stick with magazines so people don't have to hear his voice

Its not like I listen all the time but, S.A.S. needed to get off the radio.

Fire Tirico, Amy Lawrence and Freddie Coleman.

I say let Gottlieb have a 3 hour daytime show it would be a better plan than what they have. ESPN stinks.

I,too, like Gottlieb, but I don't understand why everyone is down on Freddie Coleman. He's much better than Amy, and he's also a better
listen than that crap they put on from 1-4pm. Tony Bruno would have been a much better option than what they have.

i doubt they would welcome Bruno back to ESPN Radio (he was Golic's original co-host in the AM)

You just said, "He's better than Amy" is that saying much? I never really liked Freddie Coleman he always makes wrong predictions and tries to hard to act "cool". I really don't care to listen to his garbage after his ignorant take on Bobby Petrino leaving that disaster in ATL. UA fans are not happy about ESPN's attack on him started in part by FC. ESPN disgusts me. I also have to say don't you have to have a record or be a scumbag to have a job at ESPN? just look at their all time roster it makes you think.
