ESPN Radio to 1250 AM in SA?

I saw in the Express-News this morning that Chris Duel will be co-hosting a 5-7PM weekday show on 1250 The Zone. Along with Duel will be former KLUP sports anchor Jason Minnix and KTSA's Dawn Murphy.

The first hour of this show will compete head-to-head with Mike Taylor's 3-6PM show on KTKR.

Whatever, I am tired of stations in this town thinking small market, this is a big market and deserves a big market style and quality, not some retired High school Coach that wants to play radio... The ticket is doing it the right way, bring in a big market guy to do a show... I use to listen to Mike Taylor in Dallas, really talented. He could use a co-host though, single man show gets tired.....

I heard Mike Taylor when he said that Chammps Americana was the sponsor of the Champs bowl (Sporting goods store), and they did a good job promoting the game.

??? I think you must not have read that whole thread. I did not see at all where it said that Ms. Murphy was not happy. I think that was a response to another topic. I have heard her several times on other shows and she seems very happy. She makes NASCAR fun.

Anyone else notice that, in her radio ratings column online today, Jeanne Jakle failed to mention ANYTHING about afternoon ratings? I wonder if its because her boy Duel didn't do so well...or that his competition did exceptionally well....or both....

Jeanne Jakle's column today points out that The Zone's local shows are MIA so far this week. Apparently the opening of the station's new "state of the art studios" is a bit behind schedule, so the Duel show and the Alexander show will have to wait until 2/11 to make their debuts.

I've been listening to his show.... he does nothing but attack another website (?) and has all his friends on the show... lol thank god ESPN talks about sports before his show comes on.. :D
