ESPN Radio to Syndicate ''The Paul Finebaum Show''

http://news.****************/cgi-bin/rol.exe/headline_id=n32871

If you are wondering who Paul Finebaum is. He is the host who is a legend or the voice of SEC Sports.

Will this be the primary PM drive show on the network? Or an option for affiliates? It doesn't seem like the kind of thing a station in Michigan or Oregon would be interested in.

What does this mean? He has already been broadcast on ESPN affiliates. From the ESPN announcement:

The Paul Finebaum Show launched on ESPN Radio on August 12, 2013, and can be heard on ESPN affiliates throughout the country. The program debuted on SiriusXM in November 2013, and since August 2014, The Paul Finebaum Show has been simulcast on the SEC Network.

I have to believe its an option for affiliates. It's my impression that on the East Coast ESPN affiliates are local. Plus, in the past ESPN has shown no interest in the time slot, with constant changes to the shows and putting weak hosts on after 4:00 PM.

I'm not certain, but it looks like ESPN is making Finebaum part of the main ESPN Radio feed starting in August. Quoting the ESPN press release from yesterday:

"We’re pleased to offer our network of affiliate stations The Paul Finebaum Show as part of our slate of programming."

If so, Finebaum would replace Bomani Jones.

I don't think he is replacing Bomani Jones. What I think ESPN is doing is offering his show to other parts of the country if they want it. Although why anyone in any other part of the country would want a show about SEC football is beyond me. So I think it's just another option for stations to carry
