ESPN suspends Sports Guy Simmons From Twitter for 2 weeks

tip via bostonradio (he is allowed to tweet about his book tour though)

>>ESPN Radio and WEEI announced a partnership on October 7, and Simmons has criticized the Boston station on his Twitter account at least twice since then.

Supposedly Simmons has about 55k followers on Twitter. Note also (as has been mentioned before) he went on the competition (98.5) etc.

WEEI's "The Big Show" was apparently ripping me today. Good to get feedback from 2 washed-up athletes and a 60 yr-old fat guy with no neck.

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

yeah, I'd say that's pretty accurate... and I'm no Simmons or ESPN fan, either.

I heard the spat live on both shows -- Ordway's full of it, and Simmons is right -- Ordway and his gaggle can dish, but their skin is thinner than tissue paper!

Not too long ago, ESPN imposed a guideline on its employees that they could only tweet or Facebook-status anything that "benefits ESPN". I don't blame ESPN for this move.
