ESPN To Launch HD Radio-Only Network

I find the method of program delivery (a combo of internet and satellite) more interesting than either the programming itself or the fact they are tailoring this to HD radio.

The delivery technique may outlast the medium it was designed for.

This sounds like great news, and sports is something I had suggested using HD-2/3 channels for ;D.

Our local sports-talk FM, WJOX, broadcasts in mono but not currently in HD. Would this give them more available bandwidth for HD signals?

No, Analog FM has nothing to do with HD. They are independent.
