Interesting Bio, commentator for WWE for 8 years. Now doing Weekends on ESPN radio and TV Sports Center. Distinctive Voice, prepared and polished......Well Done.
But no where near the level of his early work with HTS where he went by Johnny-O. How or why he ever got mixed up with Vince McMahon and that crowd always puzzled me.

He actually hooked up with WWE as a result of his work in Kansas City. He was a reporter at KMBC working under NFL Hall of Famer Len Dawson and was there to do a story at a WWE pay per view. It was the night of the accident that killed Owen Hart. He grew up in Kansas and I was under the impression that he only worked in midwestern TV markets until he started with WWE.
I think his work with WWE haelped him develop an on-air personality, which has been useful at ESPN. I notice that every so often someone will mention his wrestling past.
While he was still with the WWE, Coachman also did PBP football for CBS College Sports due the WWE's taping schedule of Monday and Tuesday with the Sunday PPV every month.
