ESPN'S MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT!

Just heard that ESPN will be making what they are calling a very major announcemet this Friday @ 5:05........Could this be the return of the Hammer to the airwaves?

I'd rather bet on it being, "We're finally consolidating all ESPN radio operations into our Bristol, CT headquarters. DFW listeners will soon get a 'Southwestern Regional Sports Roundup' instead of truly local coverage. (Oh, and New Orleans, OKC, San Antonio and Albuquerque will get the same exact feed.) But DFW sportsfans, don't fret...we just bought Randy Galloway the shiniest, fanciest Blue Box you've ever seen, and he can dial directly into the transmitter and override the satellite and do his daily show. By the way, Randy's looking for a way to pay for his airtime now; please send contributions and sponsorship requests to........"

I have a feeling it'll be along the lines of greggo and big newt...Galloway needs to just go back to betting his money at the track and writing his subpar attempt at Blackie Sherrod over at the startlegram.

For once, I actually KNOW what the announcment is. GO ME!! :) And no, sorry, I can't say what it is. :(

Ok here is a rumor that I am hearing ::), again it's only a rumor. But I have heard that Greggo is going to ESPN but not to do a show with Nate Newton but with his fellow Ticket day 1er Chuck Cooperstien. The show would either be on in the morning replacing Cowherd or in the evenings after Hanson. Of course Coop would do his part remotely when the Mavs are on the road.......Once again this only a rumor, take it for what you want. But Coop and Greggo sounds much better then Newt and Greggo.

Such a tease :D........Could ya give us a hint?....As if we don't already know.

I am a tease and I love being that way. ;)

I think I figured it out.....

ISaidSo (Mike Taylor) is coming back from San Antonio to have a night show with Ball of Hate, Steve Dennis and Dave Shore...

Kinda of like Blues Brothers..."we're getting the band back together" ;D

"Coop and Greggo" would be damn good. Especially with a good producer. It would take time for the show to gel. But that could really be something.

I agree! I think that has the makings of a good show. I would definitely tune in to that. I think Greggo would be good paired with somebody that's hardcore sports.

WELL THE BIG ANNOUNCEMENT IS..............Galloway's 5000th show :-[......sorry everyone!.......First Nolan Ryan, now this..........

I pretty much ignore these "big announcement" deals when stations plug 'em. It's usually some lame promotion thing, not worth my while.

Andy

Another lameass letdown stunt brought to you by our friends at ESPN Radio, ABC did this same bull with their other stations before they sold em to citadel.
