Hey im from houston, and somebody said that La Picuda 107.1 is going to change and its going to be estero latino. I tought Estereo Latino had left DFW?

ha ha ha, no but for real, I remember Raul Brindis was their and then he left and it was some guy and los hijos de la macana. And then it left and it became Recuerdos
 
Estero Latino will soon be back on the Air in Dallas and a few changes will be made by Univision.... Expect CC to also make some changes to 97.1

AC or Pop AC or some derivative. The regional Mexican market is flooded with 4 signals, and they already tried the Adult Hits thing... about the only opening is in the area of Hot AC, maybe like Mega or whatever they are going to call it in Houston. Other than tropical derivitives in the East (WRUM et. al) Clear has only one Regional Mexican of significance (Atlanta) but several pop staitons like Miami, atlanta and Houston... and the format seems to be PPM friendly.
 
ok i just got off the phone with my good freind mr RAUL BRINDIS himself and he starts officialy in Dallas aggain monday morning kinda sad that Univision cant seem to put together a local Morning show for Dallas!!
 
".....kinda sad that Univision cant seem to put together a local Morning show for Dallas!!" Well that is ture to some extent but if the show is relevent it won't matter. The part that could be considered "sad" would be if they decide to make it all satelite like CC did with La Preciosa. Which Univision wouldn't do, at least thats my opinion. I wish 107.1 had an equal signal as 107.9 because I would love to see what Brindis will do against Piolin in a similar strength signal.

It seems really odd for a Clear Channel employee to make that claim. It strikes me as kind of sad Clear Channel has 5 FMs in the market, but only 2 of them have a morning show that isn't a syndicated (KDGE, KHKS) or a network (KEGL) show. Hasn't KEGL been reduced to no local shifts...just running the feed originated from a small market station in Monterey CA? Is it not also sad that you can't originate any local programming in the nation's 5th largest radio market?

Raul wouldnt do nothing against Piolin. Piolin is funnier, way funnier and he is also more popular than Raul Brindis. Just look at reality, how many time have you seen RAul Brindis on tv?? Only in those commercial for reliant energy. How many times have you seen Piolin? I seen him on the news, on music awards, and I hear more interviews with famous people on the air and live with Piolin. How many stars have been with Raul? Maybe Some Norteno Bands.

As of 2:30 AM, Estereo Latino 107.1 is now on and promoting Raul Brindis. Not shure when they signoed on though.
 
glad to see I was the one to give the heads up on this one! would it not be so funny if it turned out I worked for univision and not cc jejeje have a great day guys estero latino sounds good! now if we could only hire some decent jocks....
