Estero Latino looses PD

David E why would Univision let go Rogelio Leal who had been with the company for many years and had shown great leader ship is their no safe job when it comes to budget cuts?

Well, geeh, what rock have you been living under? It's all business, It's not the first time Univision has had budget cuts. Big surpirse.

Rock or not, Univision is making moves NATIOWIDE, loyalty means nothing to the new ownership. They've sold Univision Records, cut radio stations in markets where no synergies exist to co-owned Univision network affliliates. Soon to come, more Univision cuts with both TV and radio markets that don't meet financial goals.

Even BMP is making more moves with cuts this week in Austin. It's my understanding that Univision made cuts in Austin as well.

Like I said, no surprise. It's not the first time a company slashes jobs in order to save money. Look for more promotion staff to be gone from Univision stations.

This is just something I that I've always loved about radio.... the job security.
