Eta Aquarids meteor shower big this year!

Hi Guys

The Eta Aquarids meteor shower really put on a show this morning! (6th May 4:45am ~ 6:30am LT). Many excellent MS trains were being heard on 107.3 (mainly Toowoomba QLD Australia at 989km), but I also decided to step just outside the door for a look & saw many Eta Aquarid meteors themselves! - saw roughly 2 dozen in roughly 20mins. Some had trains but they only lasted a few secs - rarely do I actually get to see any meteor showers!

I had to leave the MS FMDX at 6:30 due to work commitments, but I'd recorded 21 MS trains on 107.3.

MS conditions were BIG again this morning (7th May) with many intense trains. i sat on 98.5 & heard Maryborough / Wide Bay QLD @ 1224km & Lismore NSW @ 898km. Both were strong. This has been the best Eta Aquarids outbreak I've heard since 1st listening in the year 2000.
 
You just reminded me to record again today---I had ping after ping yesterday, even in the afternoon; unfortunately, I got only one ID from my home in Florida (a station in Missouri).
