Eubanks Leaves "The Tonight Show"

And way to make the announcement right under the Conan radar, too.

It was. Sometimes people don't run their lives around what Conan is or isn't doing at any given moment.

Well, it didn't take long to find Jay's new bandleader: Rickey Minor (who's currently the musical director on the ailing "American Idol")! Oh, imagine the banter between the two...

And "Don't Forget the Lyrics".

... which used to be hosted by Wayne Brady, who now hosts "Let's Make A Deal"...
... which used to be hosted by Monty Hall, who at some point in his life saw a movie with Kevin Bacon.

Three steps! ;D

I like the new opening theme. It sounds a lot more alive than the previous theme. You can watch a rehearsal of the new theme on the official Tonight Show website if you want to hear it without the loud audience noise and the announcer talking over it.

I wasn't so sure that I would like this Tonight Show band at first because Rickey Minor came from American Idol which I despise that show greatly. But so far, the band is alright. I do miss Kevin and his band, but I suppose it was time for them to move on.
