I've been doing a survey of the All-Christmas radio stations. Been doing this since MDOPE (My Day Of Personal Enlightenment) when I was working in Fall River and realized that many of the "Christmas" records I was airing were actually not holy day music, but just winter songs.

Now I'm curious enough to make a check-mark list and keep score as to "Christmas vs non-Christmas" songs. This could be exciting! I bet I could sue every station in NEPA for false advertising.

Funny you should mention that. I remember some time ago discussing that very topic. The question was, "Why do Christmas songs stop Christmas Day?" when, as you said, most are winter songs that should continue at leat until Orthodox Christmas.

Point B...I hear Yonkster is on a book tour at the North Pole where the don't have internet access. Somethin' about tryin' to get Santa to deliver it.

Snow songs on snowy days in March

I used to play "snow" songs whenever it snowed ... January, February, March. Didn't matter. If the white stuff was coming down, I'd cue up "Winter Wonderland."

Re: Snow songs on snowy days in March

Dominic the Donkey should be played on National Ass Day which
is June 25th.

Audio drops of Foghorn Leghorn should be played on foggy days.

And Back in Black should never be played during the daytime.

Replying to myself, how pathetic!! Another winter song,
"California Dreaming", Mamas and Papas.

>>>Replying to myself, how pathetic!!<<<

We'll overlook that. But, since you mentioned a California song, don't forget that "White Christmas" was written in a California setting by a guy longing to be ... well, listen to the lyrics.
