Dr Drew's growing popularity and the addition of Psycho Mike. Loveline has been increasing numbers with younger audiences, 18-34.
 
I remember a time when KROQ was a musical innovator, literally breaking not just new artists, but entirely new genres of music. Probably the most influential rock station in the world. Night time hours were devoted to the hottest new bands and just to make in on the KROQ night time air was a career highlight in an of itself for many artists.

Now at night they discuss if you can get VD from oral sex and other really important disgusting bodily function issues. And KROQ is no longer the iconic brand it used to be. Go figure.
 
"Now at night"? You're acting like that's a new thing. Except for this recent brief move to midnight, Loveline has aired at 10 p.m. since the mid-1990s. That's more than FIFTEEN YEARS. Hardly a new development.
 
Will the ratings for that time period improve is the question? My understanding was that they moved it to midnight because another station was beating them. I haven't really followed it but i'm assuming that the ratings were just as poor if not worse with that time slot. And i'm not a fan of Psycho Mike. To me he doesn't really add anything to the show. Just my opinion.
 
It is not near as good a show since the beloved radio icon mr carolla left lol but seriously adam was great on the show n y the show flouishes without him i have no idea??? He was loveline and have not tuned n since he left. Well i did when stryker was there smetimes n he did good but carolla was loveline nuff said "ashley u been on hold for 91 minutes whats ur question baby hold on a second now drew"n while this poor girl stays on hold to funny it just is not the same:(:(:(
