Evolution 101.7 and commercials

Sisanie is on CC's CHR Premium Choice feed, overnights I guess. I doubt she makes a dime extra for each station she's heard on.

Thanks to everybody who spelled out her name.
I wouldn't have gotten it otherwise.

So I guess she is the afternoon DJ on WEDX now.

I am liking how the station is sounding after listening to 96.9 for a while.

Geico is also a sponsor.

I thought this was a straight feed from Iheart? Does that mean she is on the main feed across the country or are they programming the music and spots locally now?

Means little to nothing. Most of the Geico/Home Depot etc. spots are barter spots for various national formats and prep services. CC could be clearing them on 101.7 for another station and selling the higher priced inventory at 94.5 and 107.9.

Stations using the national feeds/Premiere Choice/corporate channels on their local main or HD channels have the ability to insert local liners/sweepers/jingles/spots, etc. into the feeds to make them "sound local" - well, as local as could be, given the circumstances.
As of this post, the feeds of the national Evolution-All Things Dance channel and the Boston Evolution 101.7-All Things Dance channel are identical except for the local insertions on the Boston feed. Boston could (does?) opt to go local at any time (or at least VT'd with jocks).

Sisanie's "Sis's House" page on her homebase KIIS-FM Los Angeles website: http://www.kiisfm.com/pages/edm411.html
The KIIS-FM HD2 channel was (may still be) labeled as "Club KIIS", but is in reality similar to Boston's 101.7: the national feed with local drops.
The original announcement about Club KIIS: http://www.kiisfm.com/pages/edm411.html?article=10235438 ("Play Station" link is dead; the other Listen Live link on that page leads to national "Evolution" channel.)

Hearing some mix that I have never heard before of Robyn-Call Your Girlfriend right now.
I have to remind myself I don't have XM anymore.

Keep up the good work WEDX !

I'm 53 yrs old and I think that Evolution is sounding awesome. Its clearly a niche but I think they can do well.

I have Evolution on in the background all day. I don't even mind the spots. I hope this stations gains enough traction to stick around, it's nice to have on the dial. I miss WFNX, but Evolution is better "at work" background noise.

Evolution is my #1 preset, was lost after WFNX went away and then gained back with Evolution. Love having 101.7 as #1 again.
