I've occasionally popped in on Cleveland's AM1260, WCCR, "The Rock", where they run the Worldwide Catholic radio network EWTN. I actually was sad when Disney dropped most of their over-the-air radio stations such as AM1260 because, thanks to them, we still had an AM station licensed to Cleveland that played music as their main format. Now, in the drive times, they have interesting talk shows that, while consistent with themselves, are different from the rest. In both morning (up to 8:00am), and afternoon drive, they cover topics from current events to, sometimes, esoteric Religious and Spiritual topics. When the priest sex abuse scandal broke, both shows were all over that, bringing in perspectives that I heard nowhere else and they weren't afraid to share their disappointment in Pope Francis' reactions. My favorite host is the afternoon man, Al Kresta (sp?). One segment, he'll be discussing an issue other talk show hosts are also talking about, and then talk about something deeply Religious. For example, on Wednesday 05/30/2019, he had a segment with an author who has scholarly knowledge of some persons who, in the year 1415, were burned at the stake. The morning show had a segment on interpretations of some of the hard to understand verses in the Bible.
