EX 99X JOCK RETURNS TO AM DRIVE FOR FRIDAY!

It's a one time deal, but no big deal really as Jay has a show that airs every day on Stars 102 on Sirius. He is still as funny and smart as ever.

Um..he's not "returning" to radio. He's been at Sirius since 2005 on Ch. 102 (Sirius Stars).

Jay's show is on now and it's nothing more than the same show with the same sidekicks. He does this show every day on Stars. While I love Jay, I find that he is funny when he acts alone. Ronnie and the other girl who add to his show are not funny and quite annoying. Jay did a show last year where it was just him and it was one of the best radio shows I ever heard. Jay told stories that were funny and his presentation was top of his game. I don't know if Jays show will be well received by Howard's crowd. Jay is good, but not the kind of show Howard does and his crowd expects.I expect when Howard reads the mail on Monday that you will get both great responses and hate him responses. But it is far better than terrestrial radio could ever be at this point.

Yes Jay is on Stars, but this is the first time Jay is hosting on HOWARD 101

It is the first time but I didn't find it a big deal as Howard described it. There is a strange synergy with Howard and Jays show. Jay often has Howard's staff on his show (one in particular who is on daily) and Jay is often on Howard's show as a guest. I think it's because both shows are sort of the only two Sirius shows that they produce that have any real listenership to any degree so they are always blending synergies. I wouldn't doubt it's simply a move to cross promote Jay's show which probably deserves more listenership than it gets and Howard's base is the closest thing to his base. I'll be interested in what Howard's audience says Monday. I think it will have been a love or hate relationship by Howard's fans.
