Ex - K104.7's Tom Jeffries

As some of you already know, PD & AM Driver Tom Jeffries departs K104.7.

They had a pretty good book last quarter, but are probably just riding the wave of the 24/7 Xmas songs.

Rival Lite102.9's PM Driver Jim Shafer posted a strong gain.

I, for one, won't miss mumbling Tom, even though he worked in other markets.

OM Tom Reynolds says he's not sure how long it will take to find a new morning host.

"We're just looking for the right one."...

Rest assured, the "right one" won't be able to use any of their creativity, given that 104.7 is so tightly formatted.

Do you know anyone for the job?

Let me say up front I work for K-104.7.

Tom Jeffries is a great guy and fun to be around. I can't comment on the mumbling but I preferred him to Tony & Jen, even though they do work hard to put on a show.

Lite was 24/7 Christmas too so I don't know why you are saying that "K" was riding the wave of 24/7 Christmas. Can you explain?

As for Jim Shafer I'm happy for his success. He's a nice guy, and has worked in Charlotte for a long time. I met him back in the days when he was doing mornings at WTDR (now Kat Country WKKT) and I was at Lite 102.9 doing afternoons.

T. Edward Bensen does afternoons at K-104.7 and has been with the station for a long time. He does a great job and works hard to make sure everything runs smoothly at K-104.7. He has been very helpful to me answering any questions I had.

The "right one" might lead the station to totally rework the morning show. You never know and they haven't shared any information with me so I don't know either.

I hope they take their time on the decision. I'm getting more hours!
 
Our OM is John Reynolds, not Tom Reynolds. I think they will take their time finding someone. Eventually they will fill the position. I don't know what that will do to our current line up since Tom was our morning guy and PD.

Hey Holly....are we the only two that work in Charlotte radio and openly post on this site? I wonder if there are others who post "under cover"????

I fully expect you will go back to evenings and I will go back to weekends. You do a great job for us and then they can take my ugly picture off the website!

For now I'm happy to be on the team doing evenings and I think K-104.7 has some good momentum going with events and promotions. 2007 is going to be a great year for K-104.7.
 
Hey Mike...I am 100% sure people are "undercover". People like to say nasty things on here (I have wanted to as well) but I can't because my real name is on here!!!
Anyway, I don't care which shift I keep....I have never been interested in management, I am just thrilled to do what I love.
I am glad your picture is on the webpage!!!!
 
Hey, does Jeffries still have that goat tattoo in an unmentionable place? The one he got in Boston.
