Ex-KGO host/reporter George Weber apparent homicide victim

I'm shocked and terribly sad to learn of George Weber's death. I worked with George when he was a reporter and weekend show host at KGO in the 90s. He was a very decent guy, down to earth, intelligent and clever with a quirky sense of humor. He was hired at KGO by John McConnell, who later moved to ABC in New York and brought George with him.

The story is here: http://abcnews.go.com/Entertainment/story?id=7145231&page=1

Very sad...yet IF it is a homicide, who would do this, and why?

He was murdered in his bed. There was no forcible entry. The back door was ajar. The facts unfortunately point to one conclusion.

What about NOODLES??? WE WOULD HAPPILY TAKE NOODLES..HERE.

Are you crazy or what? You'd traumatize a pet by transporting it across the country. What pet is not going to freak out being transported alone for thousands of miles and then picked up by someone unknown to them?

Second, do you honestly think that there is nobody in a city of 8 million people (New York) who is perfectly capable of taking care of an orphaned pet, especially a friend of George Weber's who knew Noodles? Why even offer to take care of a pet you don't even know. I know that you don't know Noodles because Noodles has been deceased a couple years.

Christine, you're a great talkshow host, but sometimes you say the most stupid of the stupid.

from one of the stories I saw about George ...

"He wasn't a rip-and-read newsman. He wanted to be there," he said. "And you know what his trick was? He'd pack up his dog, Noodles, a dachshund, and walk him there. People would see the dog, they'd pet the dog, they'd get a level of comfort with him. And then he could get them to talk."

Noodles died a few years ago
