Ex-Severin co-host turns up in CT (Mike Bower)

http://www.examiner.com/hobby-radio-in-hartford/more-sports-choices-for-hartford-radio-listeners

>>Meanwhile, WUCS 97.9 has added its own local afternoon talk show, hosted by veteran radio personality Mike Bower. "Bower has a deep passion for sports and his varied experiences with talk radio, music radio and standup comedy make him an ideal on-air host," Wheeler said. "The Bower Show" airs weekdays from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

WUCS is the new "ESPN 97.9" in the Hartford area; WPOP 1410 now has Fox Sports. Boston radio
listeners may recall Bower who for a time was partnered with WTKK's Jay Severin (or filling in for him).
It was thought he might get Jay's show if Jay got fired. Jay did, but Bower didn't get the slot.
I believe they put Doug Meehan in afternoon drive--then, odd, for some reason WTKK suddenly
shifted Graham to the slot...I'm sure it had NOTHING to do with WXKS hiring Jay to do
pm drive, now, would it? ;D

Anyway, Bowers is down in Hartford area now. At one point someone started a
facebook group called Make WTKK (or Severin?) Bower-less.
