Ex-Wolf PD Will "Cook" In Philly

Looks like congrats and a yo in order. John Cook lands on his feet as a news/talk PD in Philadelphia:

AllAccess is reporting that John Cook will be filling the long-vacated PD spots on FM talker 94 WYSP and sister new/talk 1210 WPHT. The seats were vacated by Gil Edwards and Grace Blazer, respectively. AllAccess notes Cook "worked for CBS in DALLAS and SAN ANTONIO from 2000-2004 and has also programmed Country KPLX and Top 40 KHKS/DALLAS and Top 40 KIIS/LOS ANGELES."
 
Cook has a great track record of running stations into a ditch however.
 
Point well taken. Doesn't say anywhere that he has experience in the news or talk formats, but maybe he'll pump new life into those Phil stations.
