exact AM/FM dial position

Hi all

Do you know of any AM/FM combos that have the exact dial position so that when you flick the switch from the AM to FM, your on the same station. eg tuned to 918am is roughly equivalent to 99.3 FM.

Obviously, is is only for analog tuned radios, irrevelant to digital radios w/ presets but would have been an advantage for radio stations up until the 1990s. No retuning would have been necessary!

WSIX AM 980 & FM 97.9, Nashville. On my old 1986 Mercury, I could tune in the AM, then throw the AM/FM switch & the FM would be almost perfectly tuned. And vice-versa.

As you say, irrelevant with modern digitally-tuned radios. Also, they sold the AM station 15 years ago & it's now BBN religion...

Over at reelradio, there was a discussion on a WKIX Raleigh exhibit that said their AM and FM were on top of each other on most car radios (850 and 96.1)
