Exciting new stuff in seattle radio!

So i have been noting some pretty cool changes happening in seattle radio!

I noticed that KEXP is now in HD, and sounds AMAZING. Its really make quit a huge difference because
the little hiss of multie path is gone. Im not a huge fan of KEXP, its not my style,
but for the select programs i do listen to, i really enjoy this change!

Speaking of capitol hill, rumor has it a few stations are checkin out postin translators up there!

Moving on to other stuff....

KUBE has kicked off their huge event of the year (summer jam) Must say, im in their target demographic
and need to change the station for a while due to the Constent promo. of this event. One thing i definetly
think stations need to invest some research in is OVER saturation of a product, whether is be a song or a promo.

MOViN has pretty much lost all ties with what it was set out to do. Its slowly morphed into this Old Skool hip hop
mixed with todays R/CHR and a little pop thrown in the mix as well. This has definetly helped this station out!
Athough i still dont care to much for the morning show.
I think Brooke and Monti would make a Kick Ass Afternoon drive team! Just please let them sleep in! ;)

Also,

KMIH switched their name and format this past week as well as launching a new website.
Very commercial, Very Nice! The format seems to hit where KUBE and MOViN lack.
But they should definatly get a ".com"

:) Fun Stuff In Seattle! :)

KEXP is one station that can make the very best use of HD of any I can think of.

Translators on Capitol Hill? From WHO? This is news...

Summer Jam is like the music on KUBE. A lot of hype promising exciting new things, but in the end, still the same old redundant BOOM! rat-at-tat-tat BOOM! and more BORING rapper posturing they had 10 years ago. YAWN! Wake me when it's over...

I don't listen much to KQMV (it's like Diet KUBE.) But KBSG (of all stations!) sounds pretty good these days (Wait...did I just say that?....Quick, what was that Third Horseman of the Apocalypse in The Book of Revelation doing just before the Fourth one rode in....wait, here it is...."and he made KBSG listenable...")

Oh crap...

So when is KMCQ going on the air? My kids are going to be collecting their Social Security when it comes on at this rate!

You've got me real curious. Can you elaborate on what they've promised and what they've failed to deliver on?

Always curious about the "new" and the "changing" I clicked the link provided above to the new "Hot Jamz". I hope the station is better programmed than their website is... nowhere on the site does it mention the name of the station or the call letters. HELLO! So, needless to say, I haven't had a quick listen.

Hey Larry, how are those findings coming along?
