Exorcism On Roy Masters Show

I turned some friends on to Roy Masters when I was in high school. One became a huge fan (which of course Roy wouldn't approve of, he often says don't get caught up in him) but he got great entertainment value listening to his show.

One day in 1984 my friend got all excited "You won't believe what I heard on Roy Masters...an exorcism!:. He raved about this and said it was one of the freakiest and scariest things he ever heard before. We listened together the next night and to my friends great delight they ran the same exact show from the night before...I got to hear the exorcism. I even remember Roy's words when the evil spirit started talking "My dear lady..there is something inside of you..you need an exorcism" and talked the very scary sounding spirit out of the woman's body.

I have listened to Roy off and on through the years but never heard anything like this again...until tonight. At first it was a normal phone call,Roy was giving advise to a lady. Then all of the sudden her voice changed, it was a demonic entity, one of the scariest sounding things I ever heard. It told Roy something like "She's mine", the voice was whispering and sounded like it was speaking in tounges...it had an evil sounding growl to it. Roy sort of laughed and taunted at this evil spirit,,,and it eventually went away. Roy insisted the call was real and that many people have these types of attachments inside of them. I'm not sure if it was staged or not (it seemed real) but no matter what it made for great radio, better than a scary movie.

Bob Larsen was a hoot. He would play Metal music backwards and then say I need donations for my ministry so that he could spread the message of the Devil being a major part of teenage suicides in rock music at that time in the 80's.

Roy is a good guy. Has that "I don't give a *&%^" attitude. His weepy callers, however, make it difficult to listen to.

Roy Masters is still around? I do remember Christian talker Bob Larsen who regularly had demons calling his 800 line

Roy still purchases airtime on several 50,000 watt AM stations in the overnight hours. His son Mark founded and runs Talk Radio Networks (which serves as Roy's de facto distributor).

There has always been something about Roy that strikes me as a bit off in general.
