Could this story from R&R Online mean Pamal is finally getting serious about doing something with their stations? (like promotions for starters)
Ben Hill Returns To Radio For Pamal/Gainesville Post
Hill, who in January 2001 retired as Infinity's RVP/Programming for the company's Urban stations in Atlanta, Charlotte and Dallas and as President/GM of WPGC-FM/Washington, has come out of retirement to take the role of Market Manager for Pamal's Gainesville stations. He succeeds interim market manager and cluster consultant Gordon Obarski.
Effective immediately, Hill will oversee Pamal's nine stations located in north-central Florida, presently licensed to subsidiary operation Jablamo LLC: Classic Country trimulcast WDVH-AM & FM and WYNY, Alternative WHHZ, Hot AC WKZY, Oldies WRGO, Adult Standards WRZN, Urban WTMG and Gospel WTMN.
Hill enjoyed a 15-year stint with WPGC, overseeing the station's return to market prominence by moving it from AC to a CHR/Rhythmic format tailored to the Nation's Capital. Commenting on his return to radio, Hill said, "After a couple years of retirement spent traveling and maintaining close ties with the business, I realized this opportunity was a perfect fit."
