Extremely Strong Tropo October 2015

Listening in Gaffney today, I wanted to report that 2 stations were doing very well on the dial that normally don't make it here.
1st, from 115 miles away, 104.3 (WBBQ) made it up here in HD and overpowered the 104.3 translator (WZZQ) for about 5 seconds while on Floyd Baker Blvd at I-85 (exit 92), only 1.4 miles away from the translator here in town! Then it happened again right in front of the Peachoid on Frontage Road. Also I've been able to drive around town the past few days listening to 101.5 WRAL with little to no static at times, even getting the HD icon (didn't lock on). That's 180 miles away. This hasn't happened before, not like this. Very weird
