I was listening to the mid day show yesterday and heard the girl on the air play the UN-edited version of James Blunt's "Your Beautiful"-with the big one right in the lyrics. Who is programming this station these days? CC or still local?. And isn't this the same person who aired the sentencing without delay earlier this summer?
???
 
Wow-- that GETS the JOCK fired automatically. Does not matter that someone else put the version in the system.
 
Heard the F-Bomb on 92.5 as well--Dangerous these days considering the new FCC ruling that fines the announcer $300,000+ for each incident....

Although I'n not a lawyer I can see where the station would fire the jock to cover their
own you-know-whats. But I can see the possiblity of not only a fine from the FCC but
a wrongful termination suit against the station. Any leagal eagles out there want to chip in?

I wonder if Mr. P. still blames CC for moving 101.7 out of Tusc. Co.; CC has been doing this for years! At least Mr. P. has the AM....for a while....
 
Hey npquaker - you sound bitter - why should CC take both AM and FM out of the hands of the owner/operator forever? Are you a current employee who's sour or a bitter former employee. I'd wager a bet on you being a current sour employee.
 
I DON'T THINK CC CARES A BIT ABOUT THE AM. THEY WOULD BE WISE TO SELL IT BACK TO PETRACOLA. THE FM HAS BECOME A JOKE. THEY HAVE GONE AS FAR AS HAVING GUEST DJS. (HOW BORING) AND WHY MUST THE MIDDAY GIRL START EVERY BREAK WITH "ALL RIGHT" ???

Nope never an employee from there. Just a Tuscarawas County resident.
 
I TURNED ON THE MIDDAY SHOW TODAY AND HAVE NEVER HEARD ANYTHING SO BAD. THEY HAD A GEUST DJ. AND IT WAS SMALL TOWN RADIO AT ITS WORST. I CAN ALMOST HEAR THE RADIOS GETTING TURNED TO COUNTRY...
 
Back to the original posting. Whatever happened to the jock who played the f-bomb version of Blunt?

I visited Radio-Info today and was wondering why BROWNCOW was YELLING AT EVERYONE!
 
I am not yelling, I am just sad that a station that I listened to all my life has become so goofy. Shouldn't radio be entertaining and informational? They are still very good at the information part (some times to much), but I feel they are falling real short of the entertainment mark. But I am not forced to listen so from now on I won't.
I kinda like country anyway.
 
It is Obvious that this is a station in limbo. It appears that long time loyal listeners like BROWNCOW are now seeing what observers have noted for many months. This is a station without any direction for programming. What I find interesting is the fact that NOW is the time to tighten up the programming if they truly are going to make a go of just the AM in the community. From my outside observation, and the comments from listeners this is the opposite of what they seem to be acheiving. It appears that the format is determined by which announcer is on the air.

It's been like that for quite some time; Steve Kelly was the brains of WJERFM, and now that he's gone the programming portion seems to have fallen apart. :eek:
From a positive perspective at least Tusc. Co. has WTUZ for informational programming/music (and we could always turn to AM for WJER if you're in Dover/Phila during the daylight hours).
And just a personal opinion; You really can't blame C.C. for moving their station. They've been buying small stations and moving them to larger markets for many years. For Mr. P. to be ignorant of this fact is simply unbelievable....

To answer the question, "Whatever happened to the announcer who played the song with the F-bomb"? She's still there.
