Fair Usage Question

Frank,

You didn't allow responses to your fair usage post. Is a quote mandatory, or is it if a quote is used it must be 200 words or less?

The text must be in quotes and limited to 200 words. We do this to comply with the fair use law.

I'd even recommend that quotes be in italics to differentiate the text from anything a poster says in their own words. While maybe not a hard-and-fast rule, it makes quotes easier to see for all the site users.

Just to clarify: Are you saying that it is necessary to include a quote from the article or will a brief description followed by the link qualify?

If you copy text from the article, it must be in quotation marks. Anything that you write which is not taken from a published source need not contain quotation marks.
