Fairbanks Translator Files For Move & Upgrade

Here it comes, gentlemen. Community Public Radio has applied to move K254BZ just east of Fort Bend Parkway with an increase to 250 watts, with a new elevation of 500 meters. K254BZ will be highly directional towards Needville, obviously trying to steer clear of KTJM, but still remains a 2nd adjacent to KODA in Sunny's own back yard. Will it fly? K254BZ has never been on the air that I can confirm, to this point.

I can safely say that K254BZ has never been on the air. I've checked 98.7 from time to time, and I either get nothing, or tropo from KTXN in Victoria. I'm not all that far from the current licensed site.

Note that KODA is listed as the originating station.

Time for Liberman to file their own first adjacent complaint.

The translator was sold to Hispanic Family Christian Network, still attached to 99.1.

If the 1mV contours dont touch, Liberman had no chance of complaining....however, if there is interference to listeners, they can complain through LBI and have the xlator forced off the air..(But that will be unlikely...COULD happen....however wont)

There goes KLUV. Point the antenna somewhere else ----

I hope someone in the area can operate it legally for the new owners who are based in Dallas...
