Faith Daniels Where is she now?

In the late 80s and early 90s Faith Daniels was one of the best TV news journalists around with her own daytime show on NBC as well as being on other news programs. She was the up and coming star for TV news. Yet she simply disappeared in the mid-90s. What happened to her? Why did she quit?

The bare-bones Wkipedia bio and her IMDB page show that she has done nothing in front of the cameras since the mid-90's, save for a bit part in Robin Williams' 2006 movie "Man of the Year." Neither source elaborates on just why she disappeared from public view.

I remember her appearing (uncredited) in those TV commercials mentioned in that wiki article. She had been out of the spotlight just long enough for me to ask (at that time) "wasn't that Faith Daniels?"

The claim that she is now working (or volunteering) as an adoption advocate (and is, BTW, an adoptee herself) makes one think that she simply believed strongly enough in that cause to quit the limelight and devote all her time to it.

She and her husband Dean Daniels (who looks a lot like Senator Jay Rockefeller from West Virginia) got their start at WTRF-TV in Wheeling, West Virginia. That's when Channel 7 was the top dog and 9 (WSTV/WTOV) the perennial also-ran. A LOT of talented people cut their teeth at WTRF. Now, news ratings are non-existent, even though, because of DTV, they run the three most-popular networks (CBS, ABC and FOX). WTOV has NBC and RTV and STILL kicks their teeth in, and has for the past 16 years.
