FALL '07 PHASE ONE TRENDS

Well, all we know are the Mon-Sun 12+ numbers. Id like to see the morning numbers to make a call on that. But, the irony would be rich if the old show did better than the new one. It would most likely play out like it usually does. Which means, the old show did better. Kind of like the old rule that once you flip a station, their last book does great!

Ahhhh majoradio...good point...this business is NOT normal. And it never will be.

But I do think it is an interesting point brought up for the Movin' morning show, given the controversy that surrounded the handling of the situation. You can't give the new show two thumbs up at this point in time, based on the fall book. I think the irony would be if the ratings for that particular daypart were successful BECAUSE of the old morning show. Wouldn't that be a kick in the head? :-\

Indeed!

You'd figure that Sandusky is doing well regardless - WITH Movin'...along with KRWM...

Way to early to tell if the MOVIN morning show works or not. I would give them a year to really settle in on the numbers. Mornings was clearly the worst day-part for numbers on the radio station in the first trend of Winter and well off the old morning show's numbers in Nov and Dec. This is pretty typical when a new show starts. Overall KQMV is still slightly above where KLSY was in a four book average in prime demos. It is no where near where KLSY was before they got rid of Murdoch and the other airstaff. By the way Murdoch is number one in Portland now.
