Fall 2005 Phase 1 Ratings

Nassau-Suffolk is a popular market for AM (four of the top six stations). WALK-FM's lead over WABC gets smaller. Bothe CHR-Pop stations are down. Both local Cox stations are down but Cox is helped by the fact that the diaries this month appear to have been given to people farther north than usual as Connecticut stations WEZN, WWYZ, and WKHL (entering the ratings) went up. An exception was WZMX which dropped out of the ratings. In addition to WKHL, WBBR was the other station to enter the ratings. Despite being down in Market 1, WCBS-FM makes a small gain here. WABC was the greatest gainer (in terms of rating, not ranking) folowed by a tie for second greatest gainer of WHLI and WKHL. WAXQ was the biggest dropper followed by WWPR and WQHT tied for the second biggest dropper. ABC Radio had a good net gain considering they only own three stations.
