Fall 2018 - What shows are you looking forward to?

Old shows returning
Superstore (NBC)
Last Man Standing (FOX)
depending on who is on there DWTS (ABC)
The Connors (ABC) yeah I know its a spinoff but its returning

new shows I'll give a chance to
God Friended Me (CBS)
The Neighborhood (CBS)
The Cool Kids (FOX)
All American (CW)
The Kids are Alright (ABC)
Single Parents (ABC)

I'm mostly looking forward to the end of Big Bang theory in May. That'll be the best thing to happen to CBS since they canned "The Early Show".

I'll give The Neighborhood a chance, it seems kind of funny. But being a non-Chuck Lorre show, it probably won't. I wonder if God Friended Me could be the next 'Touched by An Angel'...maybe it will become a hit. Not interested in The Conners, the other new ABC sitcoms look dumb. Modern Family is about the only good comedy on ABC nowadays.

Looking at that list - Not a one.

Netflix here I come.

Really. I'm surprised that in 2018, this thread sounds like it is from the late 1980's when there were only the "Big 4" to choose from. Hell - you can now cut-the-cord in most parts of the country and stream original programming from Netflix, Amazon, basic cable, premium cable, and a dozen other sources.

IMO, in general, the quality of programming is - on average - much higher from these other sources than the Big 4. Of course, there are exceptions -the Big 4 produce a few good shows, and the alternative sources produce the occasional clunker, but still...

Lately, I've been enjoying, "The Magnificent Mrs. Maisel, "Ozark" (Jason Bateman, Laura Linney), "Fauda" , "Castle Rock" (from Stephen King), "Seven Seconds" (Regina King). There are many, many others...too many to watch in a lifetime, or waste my time watching some Chuck Lorre POS.

I recommend that y'all check some of these out.

New Shows
All American,
Charmed,
Legacies The Originals Spinoff.

Returning shows,
Riverdale,
Arrow,
Supergirl,
Supernatural.

"The Cool Kids" is the new show I'm looking forward to the most. "All American" also looks good.

I can't say I'm looking forward to "The Conners", which is not technically a new show, because it will be without Roseanne. And yet I adjusted to "Kevin can Wait" once I gave it a chance. Though Kevin was the big attraction there.

"Rel", "The Kids Are Alright" and "Single Parents" I'm giving a chance. "God Friended Me" (but football delays may keep me from even considering it) and "I Feel Bad", maybe.

I'm thrilled "Last Man Standing" is returning but I fear the magic will be much less without "Mandy" (gone this season) and "Eve" (appearing only occasionally). I will give it a try though.

I spend my evenings watching documentaries on YouTube. I don't see any new network shows that will be good enough to replace them (other than NCAA football and the NHL of course).

What shows is everyone looking forward to this fall?

For myself:

God Friended Me on CBS

The Neighborhood on CBS

The New Season of Mom on CBS

Manifest on NBC

The New Season of 9-1-1 on FOX

The Cool Kids on FOX

Rel on FOX

The Conners on ABC

The Kids are Alright on ABC

A Million Little Things on ABC

I watched The first episode of Rel on Sunday and let me put it this way, I won't be watching the second episode. The first two episodes of 9-1-1 were great as usual. Manifest got me hooked. Can't wait for episode two next week. The other shows on my list haven't premiered yet and thus I can't give an opinion.

FBI--the first episode was good. They, of course, had to inject a dose of PC into it, but it was still decent.
God Friended Me
Last Man Standing Return
Magnum PI--I plan to watch the pilot tonight
Lethal Weapon--Seeing Seann William Scott in the role replacing Riggs

Still like The Goldbergs, This is Us and Blue Bloods. I'll see if MacGyver and H50 are still worth it.

That's how I feel.

New shows I will be watching are "Magnum PI", "Manifest", "The Cool Kids", "Single Parents", "The Kids Are Alright", "The Neighborhood", "God Friended Me", "All American", "I Feel Bad" and if it is regarded as a new show, "The Conners". There might be others I've forgotten.

I have seen "I Feel Bad" and I feel good. "Magnum" needs Tom Selleck (who is actually too old to do what Magnum is doing), but it's good enough I'll keep watching anyway.

CBS should do one of those cute "crossover events" where Police Commissioner Frank Reagan (Blue Bloods) visits Hawaii on vacation, some crime occurs, and he works on the case with the new Magnum.

They already had a crossover with "Hawaii Five-O", which in turn had a crossover with "MacGyver" last season. Three of those shows air on Fridays. This idea has a lot of potential.

I will also try "Happy Together" but I can't remember if there's any reason for me too.

I thought the season premiere of BBT on Monday was great. Kathy Bates and Raymond Teller have done a great job as Amy's parents. Some funny scenes from Sheldon and Amy in New York as well...

"The FBI" is a big disappointment compared to the original. Not only that but it is pretty much like every other modern police procedural. Nothing to attract me.

Single Parents I watched for 10 mins thought it was stupid. Satellite went out during A Million Little Things. Watched The Cool Kids tonight. Thought it was funny. Will watch the next episode.
I haven't had time for "Single Parents" yet. "The Cool Kids" is very funny and I saw Jamie Farr's name in the credits. I knew there was something I liked about that old man but I couldn't figure it out until I saw the credits.

"Murphy Brown" is also a new show, sort of. I really liked the pilot.

Missed 'Murphy Brown' due to the 2-hour premiere of Grey's Anatomy! Not to mention HTGAWM was also new...
