Business as usual at WLW, WEBN, Warm, Kiss, Q, KRC, Fox, WAKW, and, inexplicably, the easily-satisfied WPFB.
Looks like business as usual at WGRR and WUBE, but they are hoping to benefit from changes to others.
WDJO went from 1.2 to 0.6, now jumps to 1.0 as fall shortens the hours they can run a strong signal. My bet is all this motion is statistical error and they're really consistent around 1.0. Fox continues to be down 20% from Spring.
The Buzz continues to slowly sink. WCIN actually gets some ratings, but it's probably just a normal 0.4 fluking up to 0.5 and thus getting included. Is anyone going to buy that station? Is their signal fixed yet?
Arbitron continues to report WSAI as Sports, WCKY as Talk. Doesn't tend to give you much faith in the results for either station.
Likewise for the FM musical chairs. The only thing I'm sure of is a country station named WIFE didn't suddenly get listeners in Cincinnati, for the first time ever, only after it ceased to exist. Is that the only place that ratings for 100.3 showed up, not under the calls they were using?? Did 96.5 and 94.9 really combine for 1.1 more than WUBE?? Or is that some kind of composite of a country station on two frequencies PLUS the old WMOJ, or even BOTH versions of WMOJ? Did some people continue to report they listened to the old Jammin' Oldies even after it ceased to exist, because they only got around to filling out the book the day they sent it in??
I would just assume that any share point you see for WMOJ, WYGY, WIFE, WAQZ, and WMOJ may be incorrectly attributed to one of the others. Throw in listener confusion and forced changes in habit and it wouldn't be surprising if there is some small effect on the scores for WVMX, WGRR, WIZF, and WUBE.
