One diary isn't going to sway things too much for anyone.

The real question: what happened to the country numbers in
the Duke city?

How Did all the groups go down yet as a whole AGM went up so much on all their stations except for the one with the highest paid talent, Set the record for the most Billboards. I guess money can't buy you ratings! I hope someone checks into the Diaries sumptin just smells
Edited by whatsthedeal on 01/31/06 03:17 PM.

With your logic, any station that increases ratings only does so by diaries being placed with station employees?

Do you see how this book smells. All of a sudden the country audience goes poof
KBQI,KRST,KKRG all down OH I know all the country listeners started listening to KLVO and love their spanish.

Question How come a spanish group like univision can't make a dent in the format here

Country as a whole has gone down the last three books. I'd hardly call that "all of a sudden."

Spanish is not a format, it is a language.

Univision is an American group. It is not from Spain.

Univision's leading Hispanic station is Kiss.

The Spanish langauge one is a class A FM, and limited.

Lets see one station wen 4.1 to a 4.4 to a 2.8!!!! those are the last 3 books
I remember from math class that going from 4.1 to a 4.4 was going UP!the average of kbqi was about 4.2 before this book and I would call a drop of about 1.5 a BIG drop

KKRG went 2.9 to 3.9 to 2.9 my math class again would say 2.9 to 3.9 means they were on a up swing.....3.9 to 2.9 is again a big drop

KRST 3.6 to 3.7 to 2.8 again my math class would say they were EVEN until a point drop

So how does a format drop 3.4 across the board with 3 diffrent companies
seems like a samplin prob would ya say????

For the 20 years I have been in NM stations pretty much stay the same with out much movement except when a station flips format.

since smooth jazz went away you can see why magic and classical went up

the only other station that went up big were Mexican and CHR again I say yep all those cowboys started liking mexican or 50 cent

OH sorry for being PC about KLVO they are MEXICAN been hagging around too many libs

KLVO, the radio station, is American. The format is "regional Mexican" which is a kind of music, not a nationality.

Spanish is not a format???? Then why does R&R list 3 stations in Albuquerque as
SPANISH CONTEMPORARY!!! I am so confused I also see other stations with formats listed as SPANISH OLDIES

Spanish is the language, contemporary is the format.

And... there is one Spanish contemporary station in Albuquerque... KRZY-FM.

Spanish is the language, oldies is the format.

In other words, what is the "English" format?

Interesting stuff in this book. Here are a couple of things that I found interesting...

*Magic moves back into third place. Nice!
*Uhh...how did KLVO suddenly rise two full shares?
*Wow, this hasn't been a very good country book. Where did all of the country listeners go?
*KAGM's ratings continue to slide...
*Mega still doesn't seem to be doing great, as it's 19th in the market. It did gain two-tenths of a share, though.
*Fred seems to be losing its appeal. It lost half a share.
