Fall Daytime Shcedules

Re: Fall Daytime Schedules

"Don't know if all Scripps stations are dropping Wheel & Jep!. Quite a few are for sure."

Not sure if Scripps were ever involved with Game Show Network or not, but last I heard they dropped "Jep!" about 12 years ago...

Jeff Probst will be on WBBM-TV (CBS), but no announcement on time. Judge Judy currently occupies both the 2 & 4pm timeslots. One of those timeslots will likely become Jeff's new talk show.

While at a repair shop, I was watching WBBM-TV, & a promo came on with a 2pm timeslot for Jeff Probst. I'll have to spend some time this weekend to watch TV, & find out about the other shows. Most shows starting September 10th, including Jeff Probst & Katie.

Adam95 was referring to "Jeopardy!" by the nickname "Jep!", not the program with the actual name "Jep!". Here is the full quotation of the message by adam95:

Most areas won't get "Let's Ask America".  This show and "The List" will only air on Scripps stations that are dropping "Wheel of Fortune" and "Jeopardy!" this fall.  My assumption would be that these two shows will go national next fall if all goes well this fall.  Don't know if all Scripps stations are dropping Wheel & Jep! quite a few are for sure.

http://www.kansascity.com/2012/08/28/3781514/a-new-morning-dawns-on-local-tv.html Who wants to be a Millionare will be on 1pm KMCI The List at 4pm with Jeopardy going to another channel. Access hollywood 5pm,Dish Nation,5:30pm/Friends know 4pm to 5pm and Rules of Engadment 6pm to 7pm KSMOTV. Bill Cunningham replacing Dr. Drew Life Changers and KCWE could be adding a Midday/4pm Newscast and somebody picking up the Daily Buzz show. Also haven't heard about Weekend changes yet.

More Los Angeles daytime info to pass along...

As stated early-on in this thread, Ricki Lake's new show will be on KTTV weekdays at 3pm. KCOP (KTTV's sister station) is also carrying her show, weekdays at 11am, also starting September 10th...so we'll a double-run of Ricki, this time spread across different stations. KCOP was the original L.A. home of Lake's first talk show, for its entire run, and staying in the same timeslot from start to finish (5pm).

Trisha Goddard's new show is also airing on KCOP, starting September 17th at 1pm (replaces a hour of I Love Lucy). I'm assuming that Jeremy Kyle stays at noon, so you'll have a three-hour block of talk shows from 11-2pm.

Ch-Ch-Changes in Seattle...

"Two Hours of Harvey, Weekday Mornings!" That's what I call KSTW's new lineup starting Sept 4th. Feud double run stays at 9AM, Steve Harvey talk show at 10AM, and Millionaire gets bumped back to 11AM.
The Daily Buzz is going back to KSTW-it used to be on 11 when it was UPN, shortly around '04-but was taken off. 7AM-9AM weekdays.
Ricki Lake goes to KCPQ 10AM/3PM, replacing Jerry Springer.
KOMO regains an 11AM newscast on its main channel. The 11AM news was on This TV 4.2 for a year or two but is back on 4. The Doctors head toward the PM hours, at 2PM, where General Hospital used to be, as it's now at 1PM PT.
Replacing Swift Justice on KZJO? A double-run of Cops.
Dish Nation is going to KZJO as well, 4PM weekdays. Anderson Live will air on KONG/16 at 5PM weekdays, battling news on the other stations. Following that is Jeff Probst at 6, and a repeat of Katie at 9PM.
The new syndi reruns of Rules of Engagement will air on KSTW weeknights 11-Midnight. Seinfeld stays at 10, and Frasier slides into the AM hours at Midnight-1AM.
Jeremy Kyle heads to a new channel, KOMO 4.2 (This TV), 2PM weekdays.
Still missing in Seattle: Wendy Williams, which hasn't been seen since 2010-2011. Not sure about Trisha Goddard yet.

In my neck of the woods, WTVD is picking up Katie at 3 PM
(TVD is an ABC o&o), but no station in the Greensboro/Winston-
Salem/High Point market is carrying her. I've also found two more
stations not affiliated with ABC that are carrying her: WRCB Chattanooga
(NBC) and WBTW Florence/Myrtle Beach (CBS).

Of Los Angeles' Big Four network stations, KCBS is the only one with least amount of changes...in fact, their schedule is pretty much intact going into the fall, at least as of September 10th. Here's their schedule...

Sister station, independent outlet KCAL, only has one schedule addition: reruns of Rules of Engagement at midnight, bumping It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia to 1am.

Here's their schedule, for those who are interested (again, as of September 10)

4am Better

The good thing so far; it looks like unless you're a Fox O&O and have to air it in near-prime or close to Fox, Dish Nation is getting some terrible, terrible time slots that should render it dead on arrival ;D. Think after the CW local news or after midnight where you're only getting Live Links ads to sponsor it. They're going to try to argue it's 'the perfect time slot', but by that time the news reported by the morning zoo teams is very old and analyzed to death already by the regular tabloid shows.

In Green Bay there are some nice changes going on, and the first reflection Nexstar is in charge at WFRV/CBS, as they've let ET go to extend their newscast across the full 6pm hour, with ET moving to WBAY/ABC to lead off primetime, replacing The Insider (though now it gets a natural pair with a late night ET encore post-Kimmel). No other changes outside of that on WBAY besides them obviously getting Katie. WFRV actually loses product as they let go ET and TMZ, which moves from the terrible 1:07am slot to the at-least-people-are-awake 9pm on WCWF.

No changes to WLUK/Fox either except the move of Extra to CW sister WCWF in order to let Dish Nation get dead-air like ratings at midnight, and Anderson Live moving on from the station's terminally bad 11am timeslot to be replaced by Family Feud. WCWF pretty much has most of the syndicated sitcoms not grabbed by WACY, and Judge Alex.

WGBA/NBC continues to act like a zombie station awaiting its inevitable swallowing up by WTMJ in Milwaukee with a MyNet castoff schedule. Jeff Probst replaces Excused, Steve Harvey replaces AFHV reruns, Ricki Lake hopes to do better than non-competitive "Roseanne" reruns, and Anderson Live replaces Access Hollywood Live (most of which moves to MyNet sister WACY). Why they still schedule Inside Edition before primetime continues to perplex me.

Inside Edition has been on KING, at 7:30 PT, before NBC prime time, for years now. They did not air the final season of Tom Bergeron's Hollywood Squares (excuse me, H2 as it was called...), which was 2003-04. Before that, it was Evening Magazine at 7PM, and Hollywood Squares at 7:30, and before '98 American Journal.

Yakima, WA
KNDO/23 (NBC) is airing Steve Harvey, weekdays at 11AM. Katie is also on KNDO, at 2PM.
Jeff Probst will air on KAPP 35, at 2PM weekdays. Ricki Lake is on KCYU-LP 41 (Fox), 4PM.
Family Feud, which was on in the morning hours on KCYU, will move to 5-6PM, battling local & national newscasts.
KIMA is keeping it's years-old tradition of The Simpsons leading into CBS prime time, at 7:30PM.
Even though Me-TV has taken over KXLY 4.2 and KAPP 35.2, Last Shot with Judge Gunn is double-run at 10 or 11AM I think.

Here's Chico-Redding, California. Earl, Chris and Cash Cab (which I've heard are all leaving local syndication) remain, while The Simpsons exits syndication in the market. Extra moves from KHSL (CBS) to KCVU (Fox), and Cheers is gone from KCVU/KRVU after many, many years, presumably freeing it to air on Me-TV (KRCR-DT2), which has been replacing it on the national feed with an extra episode of The Dick Van Dyke Show.

Airing twice a day on different (but co-owned) channels are Katie (KNVN/KHSL DT2), Steve Harvey (KCVU, KRVU), Dish Nation (KCVU, KRVU) and TMZ (KCVU, KRVU).

Hey Memphis, Who wants to watch Ellen at 6:00AM in the morning??? She's an afternoon show, and she needs to be on ABC-24 (WPTY) at 3PM.

I feel the same way with AFV reruns, even though it gets less viewers: it ends up in an almost-graveyard slot at 6AM on KONG, leading into its morning newscast at 7. Used to be on in the afternoon.
