Fall Phase 2 trends are out

Pretty boring! THIS IS 12+ BE WARNED!
Disappointments: K-Hits didn't change after what I feel are some very positive changes by Cox Radio. The problem could be the morning show. Scott and Susie just aren't clicking. Personally I blame Scott as he wants everyone to know that it is his morning show. No teamwork.

KROI - PRaise 92 dropped a tenth and I thought it would be in the low three's by now. Try a point lower.

Country Legends 97.1 down to lowest rating I ever remember. I wondered how long one person could hold a station together fulltime.

KCOH still under a one. One of Houston's best nighttime music secrets.

Nice little surprises: KRTX Puro Tejano 980 AM (Univision) a 1kW station from Richmond-Rosenberg made the ratings, the very last, but still made a showing. Puro Tejano is a very well presented station and they have a killer Oldies show Sunday mornings from, I believe 7am to noon. Purpledevil reported about this Oldies show about a month or two ago. A very good station deserving of a better signal.

KTRH dropped under a three.

Univision, who had three stations in the top ten, more than any other company, KLTN (2nd tie); KOVE (5th) and KPTY (9th). This may be the first time Univision held the most top ten slots. Every station Univision owned in the Houston area, except KPTI 105.3 was in the ratings. KPTI really can not be counted as it is on a sand dune on Bolivar Peninsula and the 60dbu Service Grade signal doesn't even make it to Galveston. A very low power station parked there to possibly move to Winnie as a C2 and then KPTI would have some substance.

Another month, pretty much SOS.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again - its time for a reunion of Ted Carson and Paul Christy in the morning on 107.5. Send Sparks over to 106.9 and let him construct a new station out of that aimless programming.

KPTI and KPTY use single line reporting, which is what Arbitron now allows 100% simulcast stations to do. If you have two or more signals in a metro and they are full simulcasts, then you can elect to have all numbers accrue to one set of calls. An example would be KRCD and KRCV in LA, where all numbers are shown under KRCD, even thougy about 40% of listening is to KRC>V.

Thanks for the info David, which means all of Univision's stations were in the ratings.

Do you know if anything has been resolved or close to being resolved concerning KPTI 105.3 Crystal Beach moving off the sand dune to Winnie and upgrading to a Class C2, where the station would actually serve some population and if used as a simulcaster for KPTY extend the range of Party to nearly the LA state line?

I have to agree with you on this one! ;D
