As much as I would like Mix to succeed (I think it's got the adult top 40 sound down pat), history doesn't work in its favor. 105.3 The Zone didn't last. The adult top 40 format of 104.1 Kiss FM didn't last.

It goes back even further than the Zone and Kiss FM! Lest we forget WMXZ?...

Mix 95.7?...

anyone?

MIX should have gone Hot CHR and took on B97. I don't think they would beat B out but it would be a better sound for them in the meantime. They could possibly pull in more listeners than ever before. Not like the ROCK 92.3 days but closer to that.

Awesome to see I'm not the only one who remembers MIX 95.7!! In fact I thought it was a pretty neat station for its time! I remember it having calls WMIX shortly before turning into WMXZ. Who was the PD? Anyone know? The fact is the majority of the personalities in this city are a drag. Smashedcd, I also suspect someone on this board defending B97 works at Entercomm. Its not going to get any of us anywhere though.... ;D
