What's going on in Hot Springs? 1st KLAZ is losing all their Sales People and now over at US Stations they're sales people are dropping like flies! What's going on?
You would think that as hard as good sales people are to come by, there would be more of an effort to keep them. Is this just another sign of bad management?
 
Well, in my humble opinion, and yes, I am somewhat biased, but I don't believe it's the management at US Stations. Although I've not worked there in nearly three years, Gary and Craig are two of the best radio people in the business - Period!
 
Don't know about U.S. but I did hear a rumor that a big L.R. morning team is about to split up. Noalmark's sales structure has been under stress for a while in Hot Springs. If I were hot to trot sales type I'd be knocking on the doors at Noalmark or U.S. The numbers are good and the products are solid.
 
It could be the New Sales Manager at US Stations running off the Experienced Sales People. They have lost 2 since he started 6 weeks ago. From his reputation
it wouldn't suprise anyone that people are running not walking away from that place.
Of course that could always benefit Noalmark, but... they are having serious problems of their own. Selling ads for $2 and $3 a spot is a hard living to make!
 
2 bucks a holler eh? Sales talk? That's not half as juicy as the news, a certain heritage wake up team is about to go bye bye. A certain someone is being courted for a gig that could move them into a pd chair. The bad news is a syndicated wake up show is rumored to take their place. Ah corporate radio cutting costs, I guess the merger really killed the bottom line. Thats radio for you.

Five star ...just a tip. Sounds like you should keep the stuff you know to yourself. Someone could get hurt or in trouble if it werent addressed properly first

At this point I would expect nobody to own up to it since you put it out into the open! Mark my words..Syndie morning show on the way. I like them together but its looking like someones gettin a PD job and tired of waking up early.
 
Is that big LR morning duo that is rumored to be splitting up/gone Heather and DC from 107.7? That's the first long time morning duo that came to mind.
 
It doesn't sound like Citadel to put a syndicated show on one of their top billers if that part of the equation is true. They like live endorsements and locality in the morning too much.

However, if Corey and Jay were to call it quits, it's likely Clear Channel would have Lex and Terry on 100.3 before you could say syndication.
 
Oh its definately Citadel. Look at their company finances. What a mess! They are not worried about LR. Dont forget Hot AC/CHR are expensive formats to run. I bet you for sure you will be hearing Kidd Kraddick in the morning before you know it. When did sales become a thread on this board?

The live endorsements can be done with a certain midday afternoon or night jock. It all bills the same!
 
Sorry to 85cutie to stop you in your tracks and ruin your fun...HandDC just signed a new 3 year deal. Confirmed from a certain sales friend I have at Citadel. Also, which one of those two would be "moving into a PD chair?" Neither one cares about programming from what I can tell. Regardless, Cutie is clueless again!
