"Family Feud" Clip - Survey Says... WHAT?!

Chuck Norris could solve every puzzle with no letters showing, because he'd just think of them and they'd appear on the board. By the way, the chick could have solved without spinning and gotten the $1,000 house minimum anyway instead having the $900 rounded up.

I know that this is a Feud thread, but I'll comment on the above....I saw the clip over the weekend, and I'm sure she did not know the puzzle w/ no letters. I think she guessed an "L" thinking the first word was "I'LL" & she'd net $1,800 at the start. When she realized it wasn't "I'll", she thought immediately "I've" & then "got a," and took it from there. She even hinted after the solve as to what she was thinking.

With no letters, she easily coulda called "G" or "T" for 3x the money on the wedge.

I could be wrong here, but her netting only the minimum wouldn't make sense. (Yes I know it was a Prize Puzzle, but she certainly coulda had more cash.)

Good point. On to "Redneck Feud Guy", and as they say, even a blind squirrel gets a nut every once in a while! In the old Dawson version there were some questions asked with risque answers thought to be a sure strike, hitting the bottom of the board.

She also could have had no cash and no prize with one bad spin. If it were a non-prize puzzle and she had $5K plus sitting out there, would the armchair contestants--with no real skin in the game--have been saying she shouldn't have taken the loot if she wanted? As it was, she knew she had a decent sized prize coming to her by solving, with no such guarantee if she gambled.

I've also seen another Chuck Norris WOF joke (from http://www.bladi.net/forum/68395-100-facts-about-chuck-norris/ ):

"Chuck Norris was once on Celebrity Wheel of Fortune and was the first to spin. The next 29 minutes of the show consisted of everyone standing around awkwardly, waiting for the wheel to stop."

Anyone heard that one?

I remember in one episode of the Ray Combs-hosted version, the question was, "Name a fun way to lose weight," and one of the contestants flat-out answered, "sex." And sure enough, "intercourse," was the No. 1 answer, giving the family control of the round.
