Family Feud to 57

Saw an ad that Family Feud moves to Cw 57 at 7 and 7:30p. Jeff Probst will replace it on Ch. 10 at noon and WFMZ at 8pm. Not sure of the times but both 10 and 69 will be carrying him. This ends an era of Seinfeld at 7:30, and King of Queens will likely also be gone though Tv land and TBS will likely air it. I liked that hour but the shows I suppose are considered old. Too bad I suppose. It also moves Feud to a great time slot on a major Philly station, not since done since the 90s.

Competing at that hour also is Judge Judy on WFMZ another mainly daytime show shown in the evening. Why are the commercials on WFMZ all infomercial style, commercials with a 1800 number even on the main channel during a popular show?

I don't know, "Seinfeld" isn't considered old in New York City, where the show was based.

By any chance, does 17 still air the Philly-based "Fresh Prince"? I think they showed it on Saturdays as recently as a few years ago.

To me, Seinfeld is classic. What I meant by old, is by industry standards those shows ended a long time ago, and the push is always for new. Also, I like King of Queens.

But, the only comedies that will be around in syndication weekday evening will be the newer stuff from CBS that I haven't gotten into really, and The Simpsons, mainly newer less watchable episodes, not episodes from the first 10 seasons.

Looks like WFMZ is going the talk show root with Steve Harvey at 4pm, Jeff Probst at 8pm, and I'm guessing they are keeping Dr. Phil at 9pm. In years past they tended to stay away from talk shows. I think the last time they even aired a talk show was when they aired Donahue in the 90s. I guess the main channel is now going to be reserved for newer first run programming with the older programming airing on the digital channels.

WFMZ also carried Rush Limbaugh's old TV show for the duration of its run in the 90's.
