I saw the 'Family Guy' episode "Petarded" again today on The Quad Cities' CW, which has only aired the show since Labor Day 2011. Until then, it was on WBQD, where I remember the musical number in that episode was played-- the one where everyone finds out about Peter's retardation ("Hi, Cleveland"...). However, when I saw it on KGCW, that song was edited out of the show. I also suspect some other cuts that didn't occur 'til the show moved here last Labor Day. Did 20th Television take out the aforementioned song? Or is this edit the station's doing? To anyone who saw today's telecast: Did you see the "retarded" musical number?

I would think that if a station edited out a portion of the show, it would be against the syndicator and stations contract. So, more than likely, it was Fox that cut it out for the syndication run.
I have noticed though, that some portions of Family Guy episodes have been edited out in the syndication run, and also in the Second-Run on other networks (TBS/AS.) For example: The JFK Pez Dispenser that gets it's head blown off by a bullet.
Are the edits on TBS/Adult Swim the same as those on the locally syndie eps?
