Family radio 94.7 off the air

I tuned into 94.7 and heard dead air with a bit of WDSD mixing in. familyradio.com is offline too. Hopefully this is a sign the world ended for them.
 
Yeah, I sure hope so.
I can still hear them here in South Carolina on Shortwave WYFR, that's still up and running as of right now.
 
KEAR in the West Coat and their online streams are still airing Family Radio programming...read in the NYMRB that WFME-TV in New Jersey is playing the Beverly Hillbillies instead of a repeat of Open Forum show. Wonder what is going to happen with WFME...
 
I hope Mr Camping didn't just use this date to Commit Suicide. The reason he needs to explain to the San Francisco press on why he did this stunt.
 
Somebody in Oakland and San Francisco who is a camping supporter is hiding him. Heck we made Camping the new Glenn Beck. I hope Camping didn't just use this date to commit Suicide. Look in Oakland yesterday, More Anti-Camping groups were waiting outside the Family Radio's 610 AM studios partying like its New Year if you see video from the KGO-TV report lots of San Francisco Media and anti-Camping groups were waiting if he will explain himself. OK Lets protest outside History Channel offices next year and go after the Camping type people who started the 2012 scare. and 2 I hope KNDL the dead religious station in Napa takes over the 610am Frequency.
 
94.7 is the only chance ESPN has to get on FM in the NY market. They'd have to swap 1050 to Family, then build a directional antenna on the ESB, since 94.7's current stick is in NJ. Not exactly unprecedented, because when Malrite bought 100.3 FM, they moved the stick from NJ to the ESB when they flipped to Z-100.

The chances of this happening are about as likely as the world ending yesterday. As long as Harold Camping is still with us, Family Radio will be on 94.7 FM in NY and NJ. :(
 
I have a feeling it'll take the Navy SEALs to find Harold Camping in the immediate future. He could be hiding anywhere in the country in one of the secret bunkers he encouraged people to build to survive the rapture.
 
2 of my best friends are Navy Seals I'm sure one of them can get him. I do hope that someone else buys 94.7 puts alternative rock on it. then 101.9 can go become country.

The question, though, is will people take Camping seriously ever again? Unlike 1994, when 2011 was the alternate date, 2011 had no "Plan B". And if Camping decides to stick with the Rapture schtick anyway, it'll be the case of "fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me".

There's a chance that Family Radio would fold if Camping dies. But all things considered, there's a chance that Family Radio's depreciating finances may do the ministry in first.
 
October 21 is the alternate date. He's going to use the volcano as evidence of the rapture. That volcano eruption would have gone unnoticed had it occurred on any other day.
 
Look Mr. Camping isn't just in trouble in the USA, Mr Camping also has issues in the Philippines he exploited people in Metro Manila to block a freeway during the evening rush hour over there. remember in 1993 when KYLD 107.7's ManCow (Now Fox News Contributor) got busted by the CHP for Blocking the Bay Bridge during the morning Rush Hour. I think Mr.Camping needs to not only explain himself with US officials but also with Philippine officials over his stunts.

Maybe you should clear the cache in your browser -- I just visited the Family Radio site just now, and it says zip about the Rapture that wasn't.

Though of course, was Family Radio's site like this before it went into Rapture mode? The graphical layout reeks "mid-1990s" to me.
