Before his convoluted date-setting, I had always regarded Harold Camping/Family Radio as garden-variety fundamentalism - perhaps a tad heavy on the Calvinism.

I really don't know a whole lot about Harold Camping's teachings before his first bout of secular attention, but has he always been outside of the Christian mainstream?
