FAN & non-sports programming

The Fan is adding "the Mutual Fund Show" on Saturday mornings.

1. I guess the contract with WXNT is up? Fan seems to have a better demographic & signal
2. What other non-sports programs will be added, if any?
3. How far away from "The Sports Collectors with Danny B"?
4. As you see it, do we make anything of this or is it a one-off happening?
 
Speaking of The Fan, I am really disappointed in the quality of the product. I don't mean technical, engineering stuff. Rather from a programming and imaging standpoint.

Their voice guy sounds like just a board op called in to read some liners. Who is that? Sorry, not very exciting and not very fun. Indy sports fans are more exciting than that. I'm not saying to go overboard like some other sports stations, but come on. And that Eddie and Bob show. They don't even mention what station they are on. Their SOQ into breaks is awful. And they are inconsistent in the what they call the show, too. Pick a name and use it all the time. I noticed that Garrison is the same on WIBC. Never an outcue into the commercial breaks. Never a mention of WIBC. Isn't that one of the first rules one should learn in a diary recall ratings environment?
 
Yeah, it does seem sorta random on both sides, AM and FM, doesn't it?
I would have expected clearer imaging on both sides as well!

Right now, they are running two things simultaneously. Irritating. That's happened quite a bit, but not for protracted periods as tonight. The more I listen to this station, the less I'm starting to think of it. Unfortunately I spend a lot of time at a computer and a lot in a car :mad:
